Caitlin joined Crotched Mountain in October of 2000. Prior to joining Crotched Mountain, Caitlin found her love of the water at age 15 where she held her first lifeguarding job right at the bottom of this hill! Caitlin continued guarding through high school and college and ended her last season of guarding as Aquatics Director for the town of Peterborough. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 1999, Caitlin came back to the area and worked at the Peterborough Elementary School before joining the aquatics team at Crotched Mountain. Caitlin holds various certifications including but not limited to Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, CPR instructor, First Aid Instructor, PADI Open Water Diver, Aquatic Facility Operator, and has completed the National Aquatic Management School. Caitlin's favorite part of her job is being able to witness first hand when a student succeeds in their accomplishments towards swimming. When Caitlin is not at Crotched Mountain she enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball, snowboarding, volleyball, bowling, or just about any activity outdoors.
Cindy joined the Crotched Mt. aquatics team in January of 2005. Prior to CMRC, she worked as the Recreation Director and subsequently the Pool Director for the town of New Ipswich for numerous years which included coaching the local summer swim team. She currently holds American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor and is certified in Safety Training for Swim Coaches. In the 2005, Cindy became a Certified Pool Operator though the National Swimming Pool Foundation and is the departments Aquatic Facility Operator. In 2002 Cindy helped launch the Mascenic High School swim team and has coached of the team ever since. Cindy is a graduate of the NH Technical College with a degree in Commercial Design & Advertising.

Mike is a Water Safety Instructor who joined Crotched Mountain in November of 2001. He performs numerous duties in our therapy and recreational pools along with the continuing education department. Duties range from: scuba diving with students and clients with disabilities; coaching the CMRC Special Olympic Swim Team: providing instruction in water fitness; teaching water safety to community participants and partners in special education (including the Rindge Memorial and South Meadow schools); as well as providing instruction as a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer, Lifeguard Training Instructor, and Professional Diving Instructor Cooperation SCUBA Instructor. Mike is a graduate of Norwich University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and a minor in Biology. He has 16 years of competitive swimming experience with three years coaching experience with the Boys and Girls Club of Woburn, MA; the Valley Swim Team in Northfield, VT; and the Triton Aquatic Club in Westboro, MA. He also has teaching experience with the Greater Manchester, Massachusetts Bay, and North Central Massachusetts chapters of the American Red Cross. He has enjoyed scuba diving: the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans; off the coast of the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
Heather has been with the Aquatics Department at Crotched Mountain since 2000. She is certified through the American Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor and a Lifeguard Instructor. She teaches all levels of the Learn to swim classes, lifeguarding, first aid and CPR for the professional rescuer. Heather is an Aquatic Fitness Instructor, certified by the Aquatic Exercise Association, and conducts our water fitness programs and the Stretch Your Stress class. She loves the water and working with people of all ages and abilities and states, "I have learned as much from my students as I have endeavored to teach them."
Lauryn is a 19 year old student from Hancock. She graduated from Conval High School in 2009 and has been swimming with the Peterborough Wave Swim Club since she was eight. She has been coaching the youngsters on her team for five years and has her Water Safety Instructor and Swim Coach certifications. Currently she is taking a year off before attending Rhode Island School of Design in the fall.
Wanda has enjoyed working here in the Aquatics department since 2000. She is a certified Water Safety Instructor, Water Fitness Instructor, lifeguard and also teaches first aid and CPR for the continuing education department here at Crotched Mountain. Through the years, Wanda has taught all levels of the Red Cross Learn to Swim program. Wanda is also certified through the AEA (Aquatics Exercise Association) and finds teaching water fitness to be both challenging and rewarding. Wanda is looking forward to taking our certified Scuba program in the near future. She truly enjoys witnessing the benefits of mobility and freedom that people with disabilities gain when they swim in our pools. "There's something about the water that makes everyone smile", says Wanda. |
