Linda S. Taylor, Ed.D

Linda has been an educational consultant for Crotched Mountain ATECH Services (formerly ASSETT and the NH Vision & Hearing Network) since 1998. She provides specialized expertise in helping children who are deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind to access communication and the general curriculum. Linda currently serves schools in the southwest and north country regions of New Hampshire. She has also taught at the Maryland School for the Deaf – Frederick Campus, and at the Beverly School for the Deaf. Linda has taught numerous intensive sign language workshops for parents and teachers in more than a dozen states and Canadian provinces. Linda has served on the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Committee at NH Health and Human Services, the NH Legislature’s Commission on Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the NH House Bill 661 Task Force, the NH Vocational Rehabilitation Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the Northeastern University Interpreter Education Project and the Northeast Technical Assistance Center. Linda has worked for the NAD/US Department of Education’s Captioned Media Program, and also received a US Department of Education OSERS Grant for her doctoral research related to deaf students’ literacy development. She has also served on numerous NH Department of Education committees related to the education of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Linda holds a doctorate from Boston University, a master of arts from Gallaudet University, and a bachelor of arts from Middlebury College. She also holds a deafblind advisor’s certificate from Perkins School for the Blind.
