Suzanne Viani, M.E.D.

Suzanne has been an educational consultant for Crotched Mountain ATECH Services (formerly ASSETT and the NH Vision & Hearing Network) and New Hampshire Educational Services for Sensory Impaired (NHESHI) for most of the last 30 years with time off to be with her three children. She provides specialized expertise in helping children who are deaf and hard of hearing to access the curriculum. She currently serves schools in the seacoast, central, northwest and north country regions of New Hampshire. Prior to her work at Crotched Mountain ATECH Services, Suzanne was a classroom teacher at the Portsmouth Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Beverly School for the Deaf. She has also been a mentor to students at Granite State College and worked with families for the Multi-Sensory Intervention through Consultation and Education (MICE) project. Suzanne has served in an advisory capacity for NH Vocational Rehabilitation Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the Northeastern University Interpreter Education Project, and the Northeast Technical Assistance Center. Suzanne holds a master’s degree from Smith College and a bachelor’s degree in special education from Boston College. She studied sign language at Boston University and Gallaudet University.
