GREENFIELD , NH Psychologist Laura Basili, Ph.D. will be discussing Grieving the Loss of Health at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield NH, on Monday, September 18, at 3:15 p.m. in Carter Memorial Meeting House.
Basili is a clinical psychologist whose therapeutic work focuses on how children, families and helping professionals make meaning of illness, loss, and adversity. Her nationally known professional development workshops are infused with her playful style and heartfelt storytelling. She worked for ten years as a staff psychologist at Boston Children's Hospital and as an instructor at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Basili now teaches part-time in the psychology departments at Middlebury and at St. Michael's Colleges in Vermont and has a private therapy practice. She trains and consults nationally with hospitals, mental health centers, community service agencies, schools and hospices on child and adolescent development, illness, bereavement, spirituality, and self-care for caregivers.
This event is made possible by gifts in memory of Clint Hilliard, former head of the Speech and Hearing Department at Crotched Mountain. The presentation is free and open to the public.
