GREENFIELD, NH The Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center is proud to welcome one of its own, Carol Drescher, to the medical team in her new capacity as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
Drescher, of Milford, previously worked for Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center (CMRC) as a Registered Nurse. This past weekend, she received her Master's Degree in Nursing from Rivier College in Nashua, NH, where she maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
"Carol sets the bar for all of us. She is dedicated, patient, compassionate, perceptive, intuitive, and a great problem solver," said W. Carl Cooley, M.D., Crotched Mountain Foundation Medical Director. "She loves to teach and she thrives on helping others find relief to their pain, or answers to their health concerns."
Drescher, a New Hampshire native, has applied the same level of dedication and diligence to all of her pursuits. She graduated from Bradford College with a B.A. in Humanities, and earned her first Master's Degree from Rivier College in Writing and Literature. After spending countless hours in hospitals following the birth of her daughter, she developed an interest in nursing and entered New Hampshire Community Technical College-Nashua's Nursing program, where she also graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
Drescher first came to CMRC for a clinical rotation during her final year at NHCTC-Nashua, and joined the team upon graduation in 2005. Since arriving, she has become certified as a Neuroscience Nurse, Rehabilitation Nurse, and a Brain Injury Specialist.
A lifelong learner, Drescher returned to school three years ago to become an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. Crotched Mountain is proud to announce her graduation and new position.
