GREENFIELD, NH- On February 14th, the Contoocook School Cougars came to the Crotched Mountain Eagles' "nest" to play a spirited game of basketball in the school gym.
Phys. Ed. Teacher Don Tilton was coach for the Eagles while Carlie Wardell of The Contoocook School coached the Cougars. Armand Comtois and Mike Crowe refereed the game. John Young of the Student Services department was the sports announcer giving play-by-play commentary.
The Cougars started the game with a strong lead. By halftime they had scored 16 points over the Eagles. Crotched Mountain rose to the challenge and gained some ground in the second half. The competition was intense throughout the game. The final score was 24:16 Cougars.
Students from the Contoocook School have enjoyed a tradition of friendly sport competition with our students for over 5 years. This last game was a shining example of cooperation and good sportsmanship.
