Greenfield, NH Members of the Greenfield Congregational Covenant Church, ECC selected Crotched Mountain Foundation as their Faith in Action Day project for the third year in a row. The Reverend Doctor F. Daniel Osgood and eleven members of the congregation helped beautify Charity Park, a popular area for relaxing that is enjoyed by Crotched Mountain clients, families and staff. The volunteers worked alongside Crotched Mountain clients in painting the entrance's archway and two gazebos. They also planted approximately 400 spring flowering bulbs throughout the park's flower beds.
"The members of the Greenfield Congregational Covenant Church have always been generous in volunteering their time and talents here at Crotched Mountain, and we are very grateful for their ongoing support," said Donald Shumway, president and CEO of Crotched Mountain Foundation. "Many of our clients and their families enjoy peaceful moments in this park and the added beauty from these improvements will make their time together all the more special."
"Our Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center Faith in Action project truly helped to transform our congregation into a church that is motivated to help our community," said Pastor Dan Osgood. "A church that puts its faith into action focuses not on itself, but on living out God's teaching and his divine example of compassion. That is exactly what happened here."
