GREENFIELD, NH Lisa Thompson, NH chapter president of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association (NSCIA), will present The Long Road Back: from Injury, to Rehab, to the Community, on Monday, April 3, 2006, 3:15 pm, in Carter Memorial Meeting House.
Thompson, a CPA, was injured in a motor vehicle accident in 2000, resulting in a spinal cord injury. In 2002, she founded the NH-NSCIA (www.nhspinal.org), and is presently chair of the Governor's Commission on Disability's architectural barrier-free design committee. She will be joined by Dawn Calautti, a physical therapy assistant from Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital, in Salem, NH, who is a director of the NH-NSCIA.
This event is made possible by gifts in memory of Clint Hilliard, former head of the Speech and Hearing Department at Crotched Mountain. The presentation is open to the public at no charge. Seating is limited. For reservations or more information, please call Joan Crooker, 547-3311, ext. 589.
