GREENFIELD, NH - The Monadnock Quilter's Guild donated 28 quilts to Crotched Mountain clients. Many of the quilts were individually designed depending on a client's request. Each quilt takes at least 40 hours to make and their donation this year is over 1,200 hours of time volunteered and approximately $20,000 worth of quilts.
For over 25 years the Monadnock Quilters' Guild has been promoting the art of quilting through education. The members meet once a month in the Peterborough Town Library to share their love of quilting as they encourage one another while supplying quilts to those in need. Cozy Covers is a program the guild started in which quilts are made for families in a crisis such as loosing a home to fire.
There are approximately 80 members from 12 different towns in the Monadnock region whose experience levels range from beginner to expert. If you would like to learn more about the Guild, visit the Monadnock Quilters' Guild web site at: http://www.monadnockquiltersguild.org/.
