Dr. Ira Byock, MD | |
GREENFIELD, NH - Author and advocate for improved end-of-life care, Ira Byock, MD gave a talk based upon his most recent book, The Four Things That Matter Most, in April of 2008.
Dr. Byock is currently the Director of Palliative Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, a professor at Dartmouth Medical School, and the director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation national grant program. His first book, Dying Well (1997) has become a standard in the field. He has published essays in the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal and his work has been featured on Nightline, All Things Considered, HBO's Letting Go, and the New York Times Magazine.
