4th Annual Brain Injury Awareness Day | |
GREENFIELD , NH Crotched Mountain invites the public to attend its fourth annual "Brain Injury Awareness Day" on Sunday, September 17th to benefit adult clients residing in the Brain Injury Center. The event will take place rain or shine beginning with a certified 5K Run around the campus at 9:00 AM, followed by a Fun Walk at 11:00 AM, and concluding with a barbecue at 12:00 PM.
Information about brain injury will be available throughout the day along with raffle tickets for handmade Adirondack chairs, assembled and finished in the Brain Injury Center's woodworking shop.
"This day is part fundraiser, part family reunion for clients past and present, and part increasing community awareness of brain injury," explains Rocco Chiappini, MD, director of the Brain Injury Center.
The entry fee is $15 per person. The fee is waved for those who raise $15.00 or more in pledges for the 5K or $10.00 for the Fun Walk. Valuable prizes from local businesses will be awarded to top pledge earners. All participants will receive commemorative t-shirts and medals will be awarded to the top 5K finishers in all age categories.
