Healing Arts Program

Crotched MountainFoundation > HEALING ARTS PROGRAM

Crotched Mountain has been chosen as the primary New Hampshire Hub Site for VermontHealing_Arts Arts Exchange Healing Arts Initiative, Healing Arts – New Pathways to Health. This initiative includes the planning and implementing of year-round regional and local artist residencies, the development of innovative Caring for the Caregiver programs for families and staff associated with Crotched Mountain.

Artist residencies will include orientation of the artist to Crotched Mountain, staff training by the artist, client participation, caregivers and family events and project documentation. The possibility of multidisciplinary artists will provide access for a broad range of clients from all areas of our campus. The residencies range from meeting every day for one week to meeting once a week for 6 – 10 weeks, and may culminate in a performance or exhibition event if that's appropriate. 2007 will bring additional artist residencies in music, dance (Kitty Lunn returns!), video, sculpture in the Jenks Link, digital art and more.We will also host the third annual regional and training and convening for artists, arts organizations, and healthcare teams in October 2007.
