Our Aquatics Center, named in honor of past board chairman James E. Chandler, is one of the finest, most accessible facilities of its kind in the country:

• Our recreational swimming pool is four lanes wide by 25 yards long, and can be accessed by either lift or ramp.
• The adjoining therapy pool is heated and equipped with a remarkable elevating floor so that the water level can be adjusted from zero to five feet. This allows easy entry, reduces muscle and joint pain, and creates an optimal balance of resistance and buoyancy for improving strength, balance, mobility, circulation and flexibility.
• A six-person hot tub is available after lap swim or water fitness classes.  Not for use by anyone under the age of 12 or who is seizure active.
• All changing rooms are designed with accessibility and comfort in mind, including wheelchair accessible private showers and hydraulic changing tables.
• You'll also find we have a variety of specialized pool equipment available for both recreational and therapeutic purposes: toys, floatation devices, hand and feet flippers, and pool chairs.

Our Aquatics Center provides therapeutic and recreational opportunities for the local community. Last year, with your help, we provided over $211,500 of free and subsidized services. Please join us in this effort and contribute online today.
