Tools & Strategies For Constructing

A Specific, Relevant, Measurable, and Teachable I.E.P.

The Individualized Education Plan (I.E.P.) can be a "road map" that gives us specific directions for getting to personally relevant destinations for our students. This course will provide the participants with a practical set of constructs, decision-making tools, and ready to use formats to assist teaching staff in developing specific and measurable personal plans for students. • Use of an Activity-Objective Matrix

• Develop Objective-based Schedules

• Identify Learning Styles

• Align Learning Style with Instructional Strategies

• Write Teaching Protocols and Behavior Plans

• Collect Objective Data

Participants will be presented with information and examples of the aforementioned topics via a group lecture, then practice applying the information in small groups. Whenever possible, it is suggested that members of transdisciplinary teams attend the same session.
