Home-Style Cooking
Bring your culinary talent and come up/drop off and help prepare a home style supper for our clients. You design the menu, we order all of the ingredients. Enjoy eating supper with the residents and staff in one of the lively group homes on the mountain. Dinner time is between 6-6:30 pm.

Sunnyfield Farm
Sunnyfield Farm is a 60-acre farm in Greenfield owned and operated by Crotched Mountain. There are horses, cows, chickens, goats and other livestock. During growing season, they raise a variety of organic garden vegetables that are sold at the local farmer's market. They have begun milk production and, in the future,will be producing cheese. Volunteer opportunities include: painting projects in barn, sweeping, general barn maintenance, set-up/decorate farm store, milk cows, muck stalls, create accessible trails and walkways. Hours of operation 2 5 pm. |

Share Your Creative Talent!
Do you play the fiddle? Can you help teach an interesting subject at the school? Do you weave, bake, yodel? We will create a mutually rewarding volunteer match.
Painting Projects
Indoor and outdoor projects available. Lots of walls to be brightened . Three hour commitment is a minimum, M-F 9-4pm.
Art Class
Join our wonderful art program at the school. Enjoy painting, watercolor, clay sculpturing! Monday and Wednesday 1-3pm, Thursday 2-3pm or Friday 10-11am or 1-2 pm.
Computer Fan?
Assist students learning basic computer skills, create presentations with students to capture a story, bring your knowledge! Monday 10-12pm, Tuesday 9:30-10:15am, 11-12pm, Wednesday 10:15-12:00pm, Thursday 9:30-10:30am, 11-12pm, Friday 10:15-12pm.
Office Assistants (weekdays only between 8:30-5 pm)
Administrative assignments may include filing, copying, faxing, data entry, mailings, etc.
Dancers
Join our lively adaptive dance class. Thursdays, 3:15-4:15pm.
Musicians
Make music with students in our music room. Thursdays 1-3pm.
Gift Shop
Come volunteer in our gift shop selling goodies where proceeds are donated to the Brain Injury Center. (11-12pm, daily).
Volunteer Transport System
Spend half a day with a student and escort them between classes and therapies. (3 hour minimum)
One-on-One Volunteers. Activities may include:
· Tutoring in school work or reading aloud
· Playing after-school sports (basketball, pool, etc.)
· Talking about school, life, movies, books, etc.
· Going for walks around campus, trips to media center, cafeteria, accessible tree house, etc.
Crotched Mountain Bicycle Repair Shop (4/08)
Experienced bicycle repair assistance needed for tune-ups, general repairs, and helping students learn to repair bicycles; publicity, promotions, and other tasks as needed. Saturdays 10 am-2 pm. Tools and training provided.
Pet Volunteers
Bring your therapy pets up to spend time with the clients. Flexible hours.
Recycling Center
Go green! Crotched Mountain has a tremendous recycling program. Join our team! Daily 9 am-3 pm.
Big Brother/Big Sister
Some of our teens would benefit from having a positive role model and mentor in their lives. We are looking for volunteers 18 years of age or older who can commit to a relationship with a child for at least 1 year, with visits totaling about 4 hours per month. Training is provided.
Volunteer Companions for Adult Residents in Hospital Unit Our adult residents love company and they like to do new and different activities that brighten up their day and provide socialization and recreation. Are you someone who can take the initiative and organize any of the following activities during the day, evening, or weekend? See below:
· Have dinner together
· Beauty / make-up / manicures for the ladies
· Hair styling classes for people with physical challenges
· Gardening out on patio (commitment for entire growing season preferred)
· Setting up and playing a pitch and putt mini golf course
· Painting classes, gamees, arts and crafts
· Taking a walk, reading aloud, chatting, etc.
Group/Club Activity Coordinator with Adults in Hospital Unit.
These volunteer positions generally require individuals with particular interests or skills sets and also requires volunteering at least once per week. The volunteer coordinator will essentially 'run' the group through planning and leading each session. Staff will provide oversight, act as a resource and assist as needed. Each group may have more than one volunteer coordinator working together therefore teamwork is essential.

Clerical Assistants (weekdays only between 8:30 am-5 pm)
Administrative assignments include filing, copying, faxing, data entry, mailings, etc. Volunteer requested to assist in projects in the Infectious Disease Office. Wednesdays, 9-12pm.
Building Services, Maintenance, Grounds Keeping
Assignments may include yard work (raking, planting, pruning, weeding, trimming, mowing), sweeping or shoveling sidewalks and paths, washing company vans, helping with occasional projects, and more. M-F, 9-4pm.
Swim Volunteers
Accompany children from the specialty hospital to the therapy pool (unique in that the floor is adjustable) and go swimming. Wednesdays, 6-8 pm and Thursdays, 6-8 pm.
Special Projects: Assisting with Red Cross Blood Drive (October 2008 and April 2009), ADA Family Day (August), residential block parties, float building for parades (Greenfield's Fourth of July parade), health or craft fairs, student or client fundraisers, on-mountain accessible trail building, and other projects as available.
