Jan Nisbet, Ph.D. Spoke At Crotched Mountain on Disability Rights

Jan Nisbet - Director of the New Hampshire Institute on Disability

GREENFIELD, NH — Jan Nisbet, Ph.D., founding director for the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire, discussed the issue of Disability Rights: Where have we been, where are we going, and how do we get there? on Tuesday, May 15th in Carter Memorial Meeting House at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center.

As an associate professor at UNH, author, lecturer and advocate, Dr. Nisbet has been a leader in the field of disabilities throughout her entire career. Known nationally, she has worked with the Department of Education and the Office of Special Education Programs in Washington , DC , as well as many other programs on a state level. At the Institute on Disability, New Hampshire's University Center for Excellence on Developmental Disabilities, she supervises the staff in research, model demonstration, training, technical assistance, personnel preparation, dissemination, and evaluation activities related to both children and adults with disabilities.
