John Richards, past president of the New Hampshire Brain Injury Association (NHBIA), spoke at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, Carter Hall, in March of 2005. Mr. Richards was the director of Residential Resources until a few years ago, when he suffered a brain injury while riding his bicycle. He continues to be active in the NHBIA, and is currently community liaison for the Massachusetts Brain Injury Association.
His topic, "A Professional Looks at Brain Injury and Rehabilitation from the Other Side" will describe his experiences as a survivor of brain injury. His insights have been a source of inspiration for professionals, survivors, families, and care givers.
The presentation is one of a series, made possible by gifts in memory of Clint Hilliard, former head of the Speech and Hearing department at Crotched Mountain. The lecture is free, and open to the public. Space is limited. For more information on the Hilliard Lecture Series, call Joan Crooker, 603-547-3311, ext. 1481.
