JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

*High School Education or equivalent.

*Some relevant experience preferred, but not required.

*Primary means of communication is verbal. (May be waived if the program's population requires other.)

*Fluency in the English language. (May be waived if the program's population requires other.)

*Must hold a valid driver's license, be willing to use personal vehicle for work purposes, hold insurance on vehicle with $100,000 - $300,000 in liability coverage and vehicle must pass annual State vehicle inspection.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Strength, endurance, mobility to enable him/her to participate in the following activities:

*Physically restrain an adult individual, which may include twisting, turning and bending.

*Carry or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

*Pivot transfer to assist clients in and out of wheelchairs and/or other adaptive devices.

*Assisted (2 or more person) movement/transfer of client (regardless of weight) as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To instruct and assist client with activities of daily living through daily routines and service plan objectives. Provide assistance as necessary with daily hygiene, preparation of work needs, meals and assistance with individual's household chores. Provides opportunities for planned and spontaneous community activities, fostering consumer interests, choice and self development.
