JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent; relevant human services experience desirable. Physical strength/endurance/mobility to enable him/her to perform/participate in the following activities: Independent movement/transfer of patient/student weighing up to 50 pounds; Assisted (2 or more person) movement/transfer of patient/student (regardless of weight) as needed; Lifting/carrying of objects/items weighing up to 25 pounds; Standing/walking 50-80% of each shift; Climbing stairs as required; Escorting/restraining acting-out students from one area to another by self (or assisted when possible) as situation is needed/required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To instruct and assist students with academic tasks, activities of daily living and socialization through daily routine and individual education plan objectives. Performs tasks under supervision of teacher and teacher assistant II or teacher assistant III by following chain-of-command and in accordance with Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center policies and procedures.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Hours: Mon thru Fri 7:00am to 3:00pm

Participation in pool/Water Front activities required.
