Disabilities Rights Center, Inc (DRC)

Dedicated to eliminating barriers existing in New Hampshire to the full and equal enjoyment of civil rights enjoyed by people with disabilities. It offers such topics as: if you need help, know your rights, get involved, links to resources. 

Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA)

An independent, non-profit, tax exempt organization of attorneys, advocates and parents established to improve quality and quantity of legal assistance for parents and children with disabilities. This site profiles COPAA: their mission statement; basic resources and e-mail discussion lists; tools and information for effective advocacy; conferences and training; special education policy and implementation.

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF)

Founded in 1979 by people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities. DREDF is a national law and policy center dedicated to protecting and advancing the cival rights of people with disabilities through legislation, litigation, advocacy, technical assistance, education and training. The site shows a list of examples relating to the achievements of DREDF. They also provide address, phone/fax information for easy communication with the center.

Legal Information Institute (LII)

LII is affiliated with the Cornell University School of Law in Ithaca, NY.  One government function is education, which is administered through the public school system by the department of education. The states, therefore, have primary responsibility for the maintenance and operation of public schools. The Federal Government also has an interest in education. The National Institute of Education was created to improve education in the United States.

Wrightslaw

Parents, advocates, educators, and attorneys come to Wrightslaw for accurate, up-to-date information about special education law and advocacy for children with disabilities. Offers tests and measurements for the parent, teacher, advocate and attorney. "If something exists, it exists in some amount.
