Friday Night Movies

Crotched Mountain > Education > Media Center > FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIES

We offer to the Crotched Mountain community and the community at-large the opportunity to see movies every Friday night in our Presentation Room, a private theatre equipped with a large screen, and full-surround sound speakers. The theatre is fully accessible and if available, movies can be shown with captions, if needed. All movies start at 6:15 pm in the Presentation Room unless otherwise noted.

May 9 - Rascal This is a story of a boy and his rescued pet raccoon, an animal whose talent for causing loads of mischief is equaled only by his power to trigger tons of laughter.

May 16 - The Runaway Luke and Sonny grow up as best friends in a rural Georgia town in the 1940's. At their birth, a Conjure Woman prophesizes, "You're going to make a difference and start the change" and they do.

May 23 - Treasure Seekers In a classic story by Edith Nesbit, five motherless children struggle to save their inventor father from financial ruin.

May 30 - Herbie Rides Again Fun fast paced movie about a Volkswagon Bug and his partner who are determined to save a Victorian firehouse home from the wrecking ball.

June 6 - Never Been Done A documentary that follows Jon Comer's rise to the pro-level of skateboarding. This film won four major film awards.

June 13 - The Old Man and the Sea Santiago is the greatest fisherman in his village on the Cuban coast, but is going on 84 days without a catch. The villagers are fearful that he's losing his luck. Determined to prove them wrong, Santiago goes farther out to sea than ever before—to battle for his life.

June 20 - No More Baths! Glenwood Springs Kids Corp. is an organization created by kids to help a friend in need. Witness the powerful force of peaceful protest as the kids stand up for their friend.

June 27 - Tap Dogs Dein Perry creates a dance experience like no other. Six young men from Australia put body and soul into tap dancing. Critics call it electric, exuberant and irresistible.
