Requirements:
No severe allergies related to animals
Independent bilateral postural control*
Sitting tolerance of at least 30 minutes
Ability to tolerate an active environment for two hours.
Ability to follow or respond to at least one verbal
command.
Discharge Criteria:
Completion of session
Discharge from CMRC
Inappropriate, agitated or unsafe behavior demonstrated on more than two occasions, which disrupts the group and/or spooks the horses.
Precautions:
Attendance is not permitted for a member presenting with a contagious and/or infectious disease.
While riding outside of the ring,
ie. Trail rides, all CRMC clients will be accompanied by two
sidewalkers.
Appropriate clothing must be worn by participants during each riding session, this includes pants, jeans, or sweatpants. No windpants or shorts will be permitted.
Group facilitators should be aware and familiar with each client behavior plans when applicable.
All riders must be fitted for helmets to be worn during riding.
