Explore Clinics are a one-time opportunity to explore a specific interest of one or more of our students and clients from our
Brain Injury Center and Children’s Specialty Hospital. Depending upon the level of interest and resources available, Any of these may develop into a Club or Adaptive Sport. Past examples include:
Is an event that happens once or twice a summer. Designed to introduce individuals to fishing and learn the skills of fishing like casting, reeling, baiting the hook, and taking the fish off the hook.
Prerequisites:
- Ability to tolerate being outside for and hour or more.
- Safety while using a fishing pole and hook.
- Safety around the water.

SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) is a program that is offers when feasible and appropriate individuals express interest. Designed to introduce individuals to SCUBA and learn the basic skills to successfully SCUBA dive underwater.

Prerequisites:
- Ability to swim independently above and under water.
- Swim skills approved by aquatics.
- Display safe and appropriate behavior in the pool and while using any equipment.
- Display interest in learning SCUBA skills.
- Commitment to the entire session.
- Ability to form a seal with mouth around breathing apparatus.

Water-skiing is offered when feasible and individuals express interest. Designed to have individuals learn how the water-ski with or without adaptive equipment.
Prerequisites:
- Ability to swim independently with a lifejacket on above and under the water.
- Swim Skills approved by aquatics.
- Display safe and appropriate behavior in and around the boat and dock.
- Display interest in learning how to water-ski.
