CROTCHED MOUNTAIN SCHOOL Crotched Mountain School is co-educational, serving children and young adults with one or more disabilities in grades K-12. We provide both residential and day programs. Crotched Mountain offers children the chance to learn and grow at their own pace, and at their own level, from mastery of daily living skills through a high school diploma. Each child’s educational program is individualized, and support is available from multiple therapy and medical professionals. We have a skilled nursing facility that can address the needs of medically complex children. Crotched Mountain is a family centered program in which the parents and guardians are closely involved in planning their children’s education, social and developmental goals. Campus Setting Located forty-five minutes from Manchester, N.H. and two hours from Boston. Crotched Mountain has met the educational needs of children with disabilities and their families for nearly 50 years. Situated on a beautiful mountaintop campus of over 1400 acres, Crotched Mountain specializes in individualized educational programming for children with multiple disabilities. Crotched Mountain is licensed in numerous states including all of New England, New York and New Jersey. The educational program features a K-12 curriculum that addresses all learning levels and learning styles. We feature a low staff to student ratio in our education and residence programs. Our staff includes teachers, therapists and health professionals with many years of experience working with special needs children. The campus includes a Medicaid-certified skilled nursing facility for children with medical needs, modern student residences, a health center, media center and aquatics center featuring a therapy pool. The school admits and provides educational programs for children with many developmental and acquired disabilities, including but not limited to those noted above.
